Conference Hotel
Portland Marriott Downtown Hotel
1401 SW Naito Parkway
Portland, OR 97201 1-800-546-9513
We chose the Portland Marriott Downtown Hotel because of its location on the waterfront and proximity to the heart of downtown, as well as for the smaller details such as high-speed internet access and pillow-topped mattresses in every room. The hotel was clearly designed for conferences where networking and conversation are important, and we hope you can stay with us there.
We reserved a block of rooms for the nights of June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at a conference price of only $95.00 per night, but this price could be guaranteed only through May 14th.
If you wish to stay at the conference hotel, there may still be rooms available at this rate, but rather than contacting hotel reservations directly, please send your request by e-mail to our Events Manager, Melissa Herwaldt Riches, at melissa@idealist.org. Thank you!

The Amtrak Cascades arrives at Union Station in downtown Portland. The Marriott Hotel is a short cab ride from Union Station.
Greyhound'sPortland Bus station is located at 550 NW 6th Street. Web site: www.greyhound.com. The Marriott Hotel is a short cab away.
The Portland airport (PDX) is 20 minutes from downtown.
Getting from the airport to the hotel
By Taxi: The Marriott has a deal with The Wings Car Service for a $15.00 flat fee each way. To reserve, please call 503-887-2666 24 hours in advance.
By Light Rail: The MAX light rail from the airport runs every 15 minutes. It's only $1.60 for the MAX. Get off at the 3rd and Morrison stop. A small warning: you will still be about eight blocks (half a mile) from the Downtown Marriott and taxis might not be available. If you are coming in with heavy luggage, or arriving in late at night, this may not be the best option for you.
Getting around town
Portland's transit system, Tri-Met, has three ways to transport visitors around the city: The MAX light rail, the European Trolley Car, and the bus system.
An all-zone pass for any of these is $1.45/adult, with transfers good for two hours. If you are staying in Portland for more than a few days, you may want to purchase a Visitor Adventure Pass. This pass provides access to all Tri-Met services, costs $10 and is good for three days.
