The conference officially starts on Friday morning, but we recommend arriving on Thursday before the conference if possible. The conference will end early on Sunday afternoon.
THURSDAY, MARCH 22
afternoon Pre-Conference Training for Facilitators
afternoon Community Tours: DePaul students and community partners will lead tours to different Chicago neighborhoods, for those who arrive a day early. More information will be posted soon!
FRIDAY, MARCH 23
9:00-11:00am Breakfast
9:00am-12:00pm Registration and Poster Session
12:00-1:00pm Lunch
1:00-3:00pm Co-op Group Meeting: IMAGINE.
During this session, participants will identify and articulate aspects of their vision for a better world; and identify the connections between their vision and the vision of others in the group.
3:00-5:00pm Opportunities Fair: Students will meet representatives from 50 nonprofit organizations to imagine how they can create a better world.
5:00-6:00pm Dinner
6:00-7:00pm Head to Navy Pier for Opening
7:00-9:00pm Opening Ceremony: All conference participants gather for an inspiring evening of speakers and performances.
9:00-11:00pm Concert at the fabulous Navy Pier Ballroom!
SATURDAY, MARCH 24
8:00-9:00am Breakfast
9:00-11:00am Co-op Group Meeting: CONNECT.
During the Connect session, we hope participants will identify the value in building a network
and recognize that they are part of a larger movement.
11:00am-2:00pm Lunch and Opportunities Fair
2:00-4:00pm Co-op Group Meeting: ACT.
During the Act session, we hope participants will identify tools and skills that they will need to further their vision (i.e. action planning models, organizing tools available through Idealist.org, etc), and share the support structures that they will need to maintain momentum.
4:00-6:00pm Affinity Group Meetings
6:00-7:30pm Oxfam Hunger Banquet OR Interfaith Service
7:30pm on… Social events at DePaul and around Chicago
SUNDAY, MARCH 25
8:30-9:30am Breakfast
9:30-11:00am Workshops!
11:00-11:30am Head to the Reskin Theater
11:30am-12:30pm Closing session at the Reskin Theater
AFTER THE CONFERENCE
We encourage all participants to stay in touch with one another after the conference, and will be providing tools for this purpose!
