Job Function:
Desktop / IT Support candidate will have a clear understanding of the business value of IT and proficiency in utilizing technical expertise to provide complex technical support (daily and on-call) for desktops, laptops, Blackberry devices, network systems, phone systems and applications. She/he will exhibit excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. This position will report directly to the organization’s Director of Information Technology & Information Systems based in New York.
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work independently and unsupervised as well as in a team-oriented environment. Must be customer service and client satisfaction oriented.
Qualifications Required:
• Extensive knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting Windows XP Professional.
• Extensive knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2003.
• Strong knowledge of configuring and supporting Blackberry handheld devices.
• Ability to handle general office machine maintenance, including printers and Xerox machines.
• Strong problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
Experience Required:
• Qualified candidate will have 2+ years of hands on desktop experience.
• Inventory of hardware/software experience.
• Configuring and supporting network printers.
• Backups, anti-virus and update operating systems.
• Microsoft Certification is a plus.
• BA degree preferred.
Additional Requirements:
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to be on-call for weekend and off-hour support.
• Ability to work independently and be proactive with job responsibilities.
• Flexibility to work at multiple New York office locations.
Terms:
Full-time, 3 month probationary period
Start Date: Immediately
Salary is commiserate with experience
