Accounts Payable/Receivable Associate



Immediate Start
12-month staff position
Member of the Business Office
Reports to Director of Finance and Operations

Friends Seminary is a private, co-educational Quaker School that has been educating children for over 222 years. Currently, 160 faculty and staff educate 670 students in grades K-12. In 2007-2008 Friends Seminary’s budget exceeds $23 million. The Business Office is comprised of five full-time employees.

The School is looking for an Accounts Payable/Receivable Associate who has professional extensive experience in non-profit organizations. Candidates must have proven success in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

Additional Qualifications:

Expectations:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of five years of experience in the accounting profession.

  • Non-profit accounting experience is required. Private school work experience is a plus.

  • Database skills are essential. Familiarity with Blackbaud or Senior Systems is preferred.

  • Requisite experience using a payroll system like ADP or a similar payroll processing system.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.
