MoveOn is a people-powered force for progress. We wield independent political power by bringing millions together to take action to create a country with a place of honor and dignity for everyone—where all are welcome, we take care of one another, and where everyone is set up to thrive.

For more than a generation, MoveOn has been a bulwark against the radical right and has channeled millions of voices to end wars, protect democracy, and advance justice for all. We've built political power for progressive change through mobilizing the left to Democrats so that we can advance our vision of an America for all.

MoveOn is the largest multi-issue digital-first political campaigning organization in the country. We drive rapid-response campaigns at scale on a multitude of key issues at high-impact moments while building sustainable campaigns that resonate and grow over time. Whether it's democracy, health care, foreign policy, economic justice, immigration, or otherwise, MoveOn provides our members with timely ways to take action for change.

As a member of the newest MoveOn team, the Temporary Training Manager will work closely with a small, dedicated group of staff who drive public-facing member productions and execute projects. The Training Manager is responsible for the delivery of equitable and inclusive training programs for MoveOn members and volunteers, therefore strengthening the work of the organization in the movement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project manage MoveOn’s 2024 electoral and skill-building training programs, including drafting MORCAS, launching and facilitating cross-org project meetings, and supporting the training team through coordination.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Member Productions & Special Projects and various program teams to identify training needs, develop training objectives, create content, and facilitate training programs.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams across the organization to make training content across multiple platforms, such as Instagram reels, TikTok videos, etc. to make sure it’s accessible to more audiences.
  • Work with the Field and Organizing teams to identify and create electoral training programs based on a needs assessment initiated by the Training Manager.
  • Ensure all training material meet MoveOn’s high standard of accessibility and general practices by partnering with the Member Experience and Tech/Analytics teams.
  • Maintain the catalogue of available resources and trainings for members. Scout for and collaborate with team members for training on skills that relate to campaigning and organizing for the library. Conduct program needs assessments and build catalogue based on assessment data.
  • ork across MoveOn teams at key moments to identify moments and project manage opportunities for national days of action and mass mobilizations.
  • Create a regular reporting system to keep the organization informed about programming including but not limited to the number of people trained, training topics, conversion rates, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the line management structure.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in designing and implementing equitable and accessible training programs, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Experience implementing and facilitating in-person and remote learning experiences.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Outstanding cross-collaboration skills.
  • Experience cultivating and managing vendor relationships.
