Mission:

The Grantwriters Development Network is a nonprofit organization that helps other nonprofit groups become self-sufficient by teaching their staff, board members, and volunteers how to effectively raise money. We have fostered a diverse network of participants, consisting of nonprofit organizations, governments, educational institutions and faith-based organizations. Founded in 2003, the mission of the Grantwriters Development Network is to provide these groups with the tools, knowledge, and training needed for successful fundraising. In doing so, we help them more effectively fulfill their mission.

The Grantwriters Development Network builds self-sufficiency by giving groups the tools they need to succeed in all areas of fundraising (grantwriting as well as donor appeals, member recruitment, special events, etc.) We employ a multi-faceted education program consisting of monthly meetings, skills development workshops, peer mentoring, and professional consulting. Through such an approach, groups work together to develop and fine-tune fundraising strategies, techniques, and processes.

The Grantwriters Development Network serves a vital and unique role. We are the only development network to specifically target our grantwriting and fundraising training to smaller groups and programs. Fundraisers look to us for affordable training on topics such as grantwriting, networking, board, staff, and membership development, volunteer management, workplace giving, special events, and donor development.
