Missouri State Workers Union is celebrating 20 years as a statewide local of the Communications Workers of America. We are organizing state workers in the Division of Social Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as a local school district. Our membership is diverse, and covers a range of occupations. We are fighting for a living wage, affordable healthcare, reasonable caseloads for state employees, and accreditation for state agencies. We oppose privatization of social services, and believe the labor movement within the public sector is a means for social justice.
