The Maine Rural Health Corps, an AmeriCorps program, will work to prevent disease and promote health among Maine's medically underserved from Rangeley to Calais and from Richmond to Fort Kent. Activities will aim to increase community and organizational support for prevention of disease and promote health through individual responsibility and social cohesion. AmeriCorps members will engage in a variety of activities, including community education and health promotion, data collection, and building connections among organizations with complementary missions. The Maine Rural Health Corps is a program of the Maine Primary Care Association.
