Mission:

The FFC is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 with a simple but innovative idea: use technology to end sweatshops around the globe. Our mission is to use technology to enable fair, safe & healthy and environmental friendly conditions in factories making consumer products.

The majority of companies buying or making consumer goods has a code of conduct and corresponding monitoring program to audit the working conditions of its supply chain, resulting in a wide range of vendor compliance systems. We offer online software solutions to companies to manage and share data collected from factory assessments of working conditions, within a collaborative membership business community. Information collected by any participant across the globe is shared among all the participants in accordance with antitrust, thereby creating a global clearinghouse of factory information for companies. The clearinghouse enhances the availability, comprehensiveness and standardization of information about workplace conditions and the steps companies are taking to improve them, enabling cost-effective and well-informed ethical sourcing transactions, ultimately enabling improved conditions for workers making consumer products globally.

The FCC's current membership roster includes member(s) from industry associations, international brands, retailers, suppliers, universities and non-profit organizations. The FFC's rapidly growing database currently contains information on over 21,000 manufacturing facilities and over 50,000 compliance documents. For more information, visit: www.fairfactories.org.
