The Missouri Valley Folklife Society (MVFS) is a grass-roots, all-volunteer, nonprofit Kansas City-based organization committed to bringing high quality traditional music and dance performances to the Kansas City area.
MVFS was Founded in 1980 to encourage appreciation of the rich cultural heritage and ethnic background of the Midwest region. MVFS continues to work to provide a forum in which professional folklife artists can share their talents with the widest possible audiences.
