To provide public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines, and to work with county Humane Society Chapters, Animal Control Offices and Law Enforcement Offices in South Carolina to guarantee the welfare and safety of all equines in the state. SCARE will assist in the investigation of equine abuse and/or neglect cases in South Carolina and will provide responsible foster/adoptive homes and quality rehabilitative care for equines in need.
