Our mission is to expand and enhance programs targeting Kansas City's low-income veterans to ensure that veterans who participate in the programs leave more self-sufficient and that Kansas City's 1,800 homeless veterans are provided access to the community resources needed to begin rebuilding their lives.

The three specific programs we are working on include:
1. Establishing educational programs/groups in the VA's CWT (vocational rehabilitation) program.
2. Assisting in planning and organizing bi-annual Stand Downs (a brief but intense program for homeless vets).
3. Establishing a Veteran Companion Program for isolated and homebound, frail, and/or elderly veterans.
