The mission of South Carolina Equality Coalition is to work for civil and human rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered South Carolinians.

SCEC has a plan for defeating the state constitutional amendment that requires your participation, resources and will. It can be done and together we will do it! Just do the math:

We need 636,146 votes to defeat the Amendment (based on average voter turnout and the simple majority required). There are conservatively 250,000 LGBT citizens of South Carolina. If each of us told our stories and secured JUST TWO "No" votes from family members or friends, then slam-dunk-game-over we win by a land-slide and make a BIG national statement! With your help, we can protect all families, our constitution and equality under the law in South Carolina.
