EVERYBODY WINS! is a privately funded, nonprofit organization that was started in Iowa in 2002. The Iowa organization is an independent affiliate of the national organization that was founded in New York City in 1991. With the leadership of Senator Tom Harkin and a devoted group of business leaders and educators, our mission is to increase children’s prospects for success in school and in life through one-to-one reading experiences with caring adults or older students. The U.S. Department of Education has evaluated the program and supports the positive outcomes for students.
