Mission:
The Trevor Project is a non-profit endeavor established to promote acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and aid in suicide prevention among that group.
The organization operates The Trevor Helpline (866/4-U-TREVOR), the only nationwide, around-the-clock suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.
In addition to the helpline, http://www.TheTrevorProject.org has important information on identifying suicidal signs, how to assist someone with suicidal tendencies and also houses “Dear Trevor” a confidential, Q&A resource where youth can ask non-time sensitive questions about the myriad of issues surrounding sexual orientation and identity.
