UNM Children’s Hospital treats over 41,000 children annually from every county in New Mexico. More than 3,600 babies are born each year at the hospital. UNM Children’s Hospital provides the state’s only pediatric specialty care in many important areas including: oncology, hematology, emergency medicine, genetic and metabolic diseases, rheumatology, trauma, and rehabilitation. Without these dedicated specialists, many of our children and families would be forced to seek services outside of New Mexico in order to find appropriate care.
