Saheli is a registered 501(C) (3) Organization serving the South Asian community of Greater Boston and Massachusetts. Saheli was founded in 1996 as an affiliate of the Indian Association of Greater Boston (IAGB). It provides an emergency fund for survivors of domestic violence, a wide array of support and resources, guidance in areas of career and health, visa and immigration issues, classes towards career and economic independence and social and cultural volunteer opportunities. Saheli also offers unpaid internship opportunities to South Asian women who would like to support the core mission of the Organization.
Saheli is supported by an Executive team of Core members, and an Advisory Board consisting of distinguished community members and many active volunteers.
