Description:
The DreamFuel Center is a non-profit program that works to empower as well as enhance the lives of nationally and locally-based youth in Hancock County through volunteer service and community enrichment programs. DreamFuel works to leverage national high school and college age volunteers toward the continued disaster recovery effort in Waveland and the Hancock County area. Through its creative partnerships, the Dreamfuel Center provides an opportunity to teach young people the value of civic engagement --- lessons that make them into responsible, community-minded adults.
Dreamfuel is coordinating recovery efforts from Hurricane Katrina and needs volunteers from all over the country, skilled or unskilled, from all walks of life!
How to participate:
Click [Join this Group] on the right hand side of this page. You must be logged in to join.
Your church, your friends, your local community service group, your college or high school--these places are full of people who can help us! Assemble a group and come stay with us. Contact Erin Taylor (ET) at the Dreamfuel Center to schedule yourself, your family, or your group to volunteer.
We provide: housing, meals, training and work for $20/person/day. Volunteers are needed for anywhere from one day to one month. Please email ET or call us at 228-467-5122 to get involved!
Check out our website for more info on our housing facility, Camp Salvage!
