Dedicated to educating the public of the health and wellness benefits of floatation therapy and REST. The purpose of the group is for members gather and exchange information with each other and to raise awareness of floatation therapy within the field of medicine and psychology. The research group is a division of Float Finder, an online directory of floatation centers and spas.

Research, education and outreach

- Promoting current and future scientific research into floatation
therapy and REST, two alt health modalities developed at the National
Institutes for Mental Health.
- Advocating on behalf of floatation therapy practitioners in terms of
receiving equal status with other alt health services in laws,
regulations, and definition by health insurance providers
- Performing the role of a clearinghouse for FT information, answering
media inquiries and educating the public about FT and REST.

Beyond discussion and info exchange, there are a number of research, education and advocacy roles members can take on.
