More and more companies are focusing on employee volunteerism as the foundation of their philanthropic and CSR programs for good reason. Writing checks and giving away products and services reflect well on your brand and can make an important difference in the community. But only volunteerism can change the lives of your employees. Ultimately, no other factor will contribute to your company’s success more than your employees. Volunteering helps your employees develop self-awareness, confidence, empathy, persuasiveness, tenacity, openness to change, determination, and drive.
