LYDYG was established in August 2006 by President Ms. Chavon F. Thompson-Tate and Vice President Officer Hakim Tate.

LYDYG is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 tax exempt status based in Northeast Washington, DC. Our mission is to restore Life back to the various multicultural and diverse communities through the youth. Our symbol describes Life: You have the earth, fire, water, and the sun all the things you need to create a cycle of Life. Without these things we would surely parish.
