It's acommunity based charity organization aiming at helping the lives of rural ugandans through anumber of privately financed development projects and to mobilize the power of humanity and improving the value of vulnerables through HIV/AIDS control programs and poverty eradication through practical skills training.
Beacon of Hope Uganda was founded in 2006 by Isaac Ssamba a charismatic young Ugandan with a vision to help those least able to help themselves. Despite limited funds Isaac has built BoHU into an organiztion with multiple projects including the following:-
" A primary school teaching over 100 village orphans, disadvantaged children and adult evening classes."
" A team of 20 dedicated counselors providing support to HIV/AIDS affected communities in Uganda"
"Funded numerous rural projects to enable sustainable small community based commerce"
" Built 3 wells providing clean water to 600 plus people, helping to eliminate cholera, typhoid & dysentry. That is saving lives!!"
" Established a Trade Training Centre for teenagers unable to afford schooling"
" Has supported the interests and talents of young people by setting up football tournaments,music,dance and drama competitions and offered the little he has by sponsoring those well perfominf youths."
"Established a Trade Training Centre for widows,women and men to enable them earn a living"

HOW TO HELP
With the increasing discontent, with giving blind to a charity with little knowledge of where your donation goes.Beacon of Hope Uganda is now able to offer away to ensure that your money ends up where intented. You choose your project and visit it to ensure that the money has been spent the way you wanted. Through limited red tape and admistration costs your money in full goes to the people that need it.
HOW IT WORKS
1.Contact Beacon of Hope Uganda trustee board in Uganda and choose a suitable project. eg(school,wells,T.T.C, and transportation for counselors.etc)
2.Finalize your donation budget and intended people.
3. Send the funds and arrange afield trip to review the success.
4. Travel to Uganda and see what difference you have made by staying with the people you have helped.(you can combine your field trip with a holiday too.-- you will not Gorilla trekking, skiing,raftings, safaris etc)
5. Donate to aproject of your choice
VOLUNTEERING
Visit Beacon of hope uganda and volunteer your skills whilst contributing to the projects. Approximate cost in Uganda including travels from the airport is US $ 700 per month.
