The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
 The Maryland Affiliate began in 1993. We sponsor the Maryland Race for the Cure®, an educational symposium, a community profile documenting gaps in breast health services, cultural competency training, a resource guide, a website www.komenmd.org, a biannual newsletter and an annual report. We fund grant programs addresses breast cancer prevention, education and treatment across the state.
