It is a great pleasure to announce the inception of the Philadelphia Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Artists Festival. This is an organization with a goal of promoting the careers and visibility of independent, emerging and moderately established artists that identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Transgender, or Queer who live and present their Artistic creations in the city of Philadelphia. Independent Artists face special challenges that often prohibit them from advancing their careers to a greater audience. Couple that with identifying as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Transsexual, Gender-Queer, or anywhere in between, and the challenge becomes greater. This festival seeks to address that by promoting social change and providing support for this beautiful and unique group. Now is the perfect time for this exciting, history-making festival in this great city! Never before in Philadelphia has there been a festival that integrates all of the Fine and Performing Arts with a focus of demonstrating the magnificent creativity of those independent artists that identify as Gay, lesbian Bisexual, Transgender or Queer.
