Here in Brazil, the Constitution of 1988 ensures all citizens have equal and fair access to healthcare when needed. However, this does not always happen. Here at ADUSEPS (The Association of the Defense of Users of Health Insurance and Health System Plans) our objective is to defend the interests of the users of public and private healthcare. We also aim to raise awareness of the healthcare system and educate the citizens about their rights with respect to healthcare.

ADUSEPS is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation, that has been supervising the public and private health policies, defending the interests of its associates, and working hard to ensure the laws are carried out for 12 years.

The health concept adopted by ADUSEPS follows the definition of the World Health Organisation (WHO):
"Health is not only the absence of disease or illness, but it is also a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being."
