‘Vita nonprofit online’, www.vita.it , is the first and only Italian portal for the nonprofit. Born on December 5th, 2000 – the World Day of Volunteering – Vita has become the voice of and a reference point for all nonprofit organizations all over Italy, and for the men and women who every day volunteer their time without asking anything in return.
Before going online ‘Vita nonprofit magazine’ was already a popular weekly magazine, a leader in its field thanks to its six years of experience and to the cooperation of many nonprofit organizations.
Acknowledging the success of the paper magazine, ‘Vita non profit content company’ promoted the next step, Vita non profit online - an instrument useful for the development and promotion of the not-for-profit sector, but also useful to those who are interested in this field and do not know where to start from.
Vita non profit online has been implemented entirely through open source solutions and it is the largest digital archive for and of the non profit in Italy.
The project is promoted by 30 of the biggest Italian non profit organizations, amongst which are: Acli, Aibi, Anlaids, Anpas, Arci, Cesvi, Fondazione Exodus, Forum del Terzo settore Nazionale Italiana Cantanti, Telefono Azzurro, Telethon, Terre des Hommes, Unione Italiana Ciechi
