Mission:
The hungry, the elderly, at-risk youths, refugees and others receive help from Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota. It is a private, nonprofit social service agency offering services throughout the state. Those wishing to adopt can receive assistance from the Adoption Option and Adults Adopting Special Kids programs. We offer numerous programs for at-risk youths and assist parents in locating appropriate child care. Our Senior Companion Program matches older volunteers with other senior citizens who need help to continue to live independently. The Great Plains Food Bank and Daily Bread distribute surplus food to charitable feeding programs. Gamblers Choice helps compulsive gamblers and family members. These and other programs are offered regardless of the client's race, religion or economic status.
Our mission: "Guided by God's love and grace, Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota brings healing, help and hope."
