To foster excellence in science and mathematics education in Oklahoma by supporting the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics, its students, activities, facilities, faculty, and programs through funding secured from private, public, and/or governmental programs.

The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics is a state funded, tuition-free, residential high school for juniors and seniors with exceptional ability in mathematics and science.

OSSM fosters the educational development of all Oklahoma students in science and mathematics through:

1)junior and senior high school students from around the state living/studying at the residential campus in Oklahoma City.

2)statewide out reach programs for grade school, middle school, and high school teachers and students.
Outreach programs:
·emphasize instruction in the fields of science and mathematics;
·develop, evaluate, and disseminate instructional programs;
·serve students through educational activities.
