Description:
I have been a staff member in the Office of Service Learning and Community Action at Emerson College for the past 2 years and work to promote civic engagement and increase student participation in their communities through co-curricular service (which always includes reflection and education components!). Before that, I was a Massachusetts Campus Compact Americorps*VISTA at Emerson.
I volunteer regularly with my students, and also have worked with teen girls on editing and writing and helped plan fundraisers for nonprofits, specifically a domestic violence shelter.
One day...I'd like to go back to grad school for counseling education.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Minor in Women?s Studies in May 2004.
