Description:
I am currently studying at the University of Toronto. My major is Religion with a minor in both Philosophy and Classical Civilizations.
I have studied the religions of the Judaic tradition in some depth with a focus on Christian and Islamic artist expression. My studies have also equiped me with a great interest for Buddhism- its development in India and split into the Mahayana tradition. The psychology of religion is an area of study i am currently embracing through the works of William James, Freud, Jung and Rolland.
In terms of Philosophy, I have studied ancient Greek philosophy through several of Plato's dialogues as well as investigations into Aristotelian thought. ('Metaphysics', 'De Anima', 'The Categories', etc.). I also have dealt with modern epistemology (modernist reactions to Descarte and the subsequent dialogue generated there in). Furthermore, I have dealt with Continental Philosophy with an emphasis of Hegel's 'Phenomenology of Spirit' and its after math in the works of Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Hiedegger, Althussar, Marx, etc.
Oh, I also have toiled with Greeek Mythology and continue to to this day.
