Description:

I am a poet/installation artist and teacher with great interest in contributing to social change. I am very interested in working with the GLBT community in addition to eco-education, farming and agriculture initiatives, landscape design and art projects within the community. I see myself as a very compassionate, resourceful, mindful and creative person with the ability to organize, develop curriculum and work with a very diverse population of individuals. I hope to find work in Brooklyn or Manhattan that can speak and illuminate some of the issues I face in my own life and the issues I hope to give care and energy to. As of now, I am very flexible with my time. I prefer a paid internship or job that can at least pay some of my bills while I continue to pursue my own artwork and writing as well. I have taught courses in eco-composition, gender studies and poetry at the University of Pittsburgh for the past five years. I am a recent transplant to Brooklyn and am looking to find a community of activists, artists, and people living alternative, green, responsible and spiritual lives here.
