Description:

I'm a 25 year old, soon-to-be father. I was watching television one evening when I saw 4 back-to-back commercials regarding local measures. I decided to really put effort into informing myself about the issues. I found out at that point that anyone looking for information to make an informed decision has a long road ahead. For many Americans this means it doesn't happen. The average American coming home from their 9-10 hour work day and their 1.35 hour commute isn't going to spend the time and effort to sift through the mountains of information to get what the laws really mean.

When the average newspaper is written at the 7th grade reading level, it is unrealistic to expect the average American to be able to read the legaliese in the laws and understand the rhetoric spouted by politicians. When over 70% of the voting public isn't college educated someone has to step forward and make sure that people have the information in a manner they can reach and understand.
