I'm basically obsessed with food, which is why I'm so passionate about food issues in general. I'm a working member of the Park Slope Food Coop, which provides a lot of locally-grown produce and fair-trade items. I'm also a volunteer with the Farm Sanctuary, which works to educate the public about the perils (and there are MANY) of factory farming and also fights against farm animal cruelty. Needless to say, I'm a vegan. I also love living in Brooklyn (the most exciting but laid-back place in the world...) but want to go to California eventually. I'm graduating in May from Fordham University and I'm so excited to be starting a new chapter of my life! Thoreau is my hero and I love the idea of voluntary simplicity, and am trying to brings those ideals into my life. It's a difficult process but I'm getting there...
