Description:
The District within which we live is the second largest population-wise. The membership of our association is limited to 3 of the 13 parliamentary electorates within the district and the population there is about one million out of which only about 150 to 200 are engaged in voluntary service with us.
We have established a library about 14 years ago with the assistance of the well-wishers of the area and the same is being used by a lot of students and other reading public from whom we charge a monthly membership fee of twenty rupees only (0.20 US dollars) which is not sufficient even to pay the rent of the building.
Since our resources are limited we are not in a position to purchase the books we need. We also require a few personal computers not necessarily brand new. We highly appreciate the donation of new or second hand books on any subject.
We require a permanent library building for the construction of which we have to raise funds. We hope that you will appreciate our genuine effort to help those who are in need and assist us to make our library project a success.
