Background / Experience:
I am 31 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and will complete a Master's Degree in Social Work in the Spring of 2009.

I previously worked as a project manager for a fortune 250 company for six years, managing a multi-million dollar budget, and thirty people over five departments.

During this time I was active in the community, and in 2006 I joined the American Civil Liberties Union of Idaho as a Community Organizer. I later became Campaign Manager for the Idaho Votes No on HJR2 campaign, before returning to graduate school.

My educational focus has been on macro-level social work practice - specifically working at the community rather than clincal level on public policy or community organizing on issues of social and economic justice.

My long term vision is not absolute, however I would be very excited about opportunities to be a policy lobbyist or communications director for a organization devoted to practical ways to affect social justice change through policy and activism.
