Description:
I am a strong advocate for education. I worked as an Education Program Director for a small but growing non-profit in Denver called Community Educational Outreach (CEO). The goal of CEO is to bring education and work readiness opportunities to at-risk adults living in the city's community corrections facilities. CEO teaches GED, ESL, Life Skills and many other fundamental courses to more than 150 students at a time.
In 2007, I earned a graduate degree in Communication and Adult Training and Development rom Regis University. I was also an AmeriCorps member during my 2004-2005 academic year.
Currently, I volunteer with the Montgomery County Literacy Council in Rockville, Maryalnd where I am an ESL tutor and also a volunteer tutor coordinator.
