Description:

My name is Chanelle Carver and I am a social entrepreneur, freelance copywriter and nonprofit consultant that has years of professional and volunteer experience with nonprofits from around the country. At the young age of seven, I made a promise to myself and parents that I would change the world and over the years have become extremely passionate about education, international relations, economic development, and human rights issues. My mission in life is to make society a better place for all.

In 2006, I founded the Literacy 'n' Poverty Project, a startup nonprofit organization that works to alleviate poverty and improve adult education worldwide through advocacy, research and service. An original piece, Your Office Guide to Supporting Adult Literacy and Ending Poverty, was created to educate citizens about poverty and adult illiteracy in the state of Massachusetts and to provide concrete ideas they can use to make social change a reality in their own neighborhood. Next up, the entire USA.

In addition to leading LnP, I also consult with startup and small nonprofits to build sustainable social enterprises. By combining my love for business and nonprofits, I have developed a career in social change that enables me to fulfill a life long dream of changing the world. This is success, the way I define it!

Currently, I am a volunteer copywriter with a site called CollectiveLens.com, member of the Poughkeepsie Platinum branch of the American Association of University Women and also serve on the advisory board of Amazing Kids! - a youth serving nonprofit based in California helping kids realize their amazing potential.
