Disaster Response Volunteering
Disaster Response Volunteering

Public/Gov't

In a media age where global citizens learn about civil and natural disasters in real time, disaster response volunteering has risen to the forefront. The outpouring of compassion and giving following a major disaster is immense and if organizations don’t have necessary systems in place to handle this, it can lead to an unfortunate disconnect between individuals with time and resources to give and those who desperately need assistance. Fortunately, we’ve learned a lot in the last several years about how to best leverage volunteers to make sure that victims of disaster are receiving caring and compassionate services and support.
