Description
The Center for the Integration and Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) Education Team is seeking volunteers for our virtual Afterschool Tutoring Program. Volunteer tutors will be great role models for our students by supporting them in completing their homework and strengthening their academic skills.
Position Description
Volunteer Tutors will support the Afterschool Program by offering one-on-one or small group homework help to students. Volunteer tutors may also be used as substitutes for other volunteers at times.
Qualifications
- Passionate, committed, engaging!
- Experience in working with children is preferred, but not required
- Background in mathematics and/or English is preferred
- Volunteers must be available on both Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Volunteers must be 15+ years of age at the time of application
