Bare Root Tree and Gravel Bed Day

Join Great River Greening in partnership with the Hamline Midway Environmental Committee to prepare their tree gravel beds for this season's bare root trees as part of the Free Trees Program that grows needed shade for Hamline Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. Volunteers will work in 1 hour shifts to remove the gravel from gravel beds, line the bed with pots and then put the gravel back in. 

Available shifts are:

• 9am-10am
• 10am-11am
• 11am-12pm
• 12pm-1pm
• 1pm-2pm

Below you will be able to register for the shift(s) most convenient for you. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your shift begins.

This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary, we will provide the tools and training required.  

Lunch will be provided for volunteers and there will be extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need.
