Description
Universidad Popular is a Popular Education Latino-based community organization with a history of more than 45 years in the City of Chicago. We've done education with, by, and for the people in the neighborhoods of Lakeview, Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Pilsen, Little Village, Chicago Lawn, and West Lawn.
Our mission is to empower the community through participatory learning. Universidad Popular works in partnership with neighborhood residents and organizations to transform their lives and, ultimately, the community.
In our desire to fulfill this mission with broader and further away communities, we are partaking in the adventure of looking through our backlog of publications and archives, digitalizing them, and making them available to the general public through the internet!
