The Zoom Tech volunteer arrives 15 minutes before an exercise class begins, opens the Zoom program, and is an ambassador for the program by admitting and greeting online participants. The Zoom Tech makes sure that the equipment is connected via hardwire, operating properly and that the audio/video settings are correct so that viewers have an optimal virtual experience. The Tech writes down the names of all virtual participants then adds them to the class sign-in so that virtual participants are counted. During the class, the tech may need to let latecomers in and move the camera to keep the instructor in view. At the end of class, the tech says good-by to the participants and thanks them for coming, then ends the program and signs out of Zoom. The Tech lets staff know if there are issues with the equipment or messages that virtual participants pass along.
