Part-time Fundraising/Events Volunteer

Hope Connections for Cancer Support is currently seeking a part-time Fundraising/Events volunteer.  The ideal person will be enthusiastic and committed to Hope Connection for Cancer’s mission, an independent worker, and a proactive thinker.  

This volunteer opportunity is for 10-15 hours per week, assisting in securing corporate gifts, sponsorships, and donations for various fundraising events.

You will: 

  • Research new donation opportunities, as well as follow-up on previous requests 
  • Make outgoing calls to secure corporate gifts/donations for events 
  • Assist with marketing and promoting fundraising events including: 
  • Celebration of Hope Gala (May 2024)  
  • Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament (September 2024) 
  • Fall Fest (October 2024)3rd Party Events (ongoing)  

Our ideal candidate is: 

  • Committed, energetic, organized, flexible and creative 
  • A good communicator and has great writing and speaking skills 
  • A self-starter willing to learn new things and takes direction well 
  • Able to multitask and has a very good attention to detail 
  • Able to assist Day-of-Event, including set-up/take-down, registration, etc. 
  • Experienced with various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), as well as basic office computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
