Description:

The ACLU of Southern California is launching an innovative community outreach program, and we are looking for dedicated activists to join us as volunteers! The purpose of the outreach program is to generate community involvement and support by joining new members in face-to-face interactions. These face-to-face interactions will take place at community events in the Los Angeles area (i.e. Sunset Junction) where we will be setting up booths with membership information. We will also be joining members at Los Angeles hot spots on a weekly basis. We are in need of volunteers who can commit to contributing 5-10 hours a month to help staff these booths at events and hot spot locations. Volunteers will work side by side with the outreach staff and will be trained thoroughly to effectively communicate to the public about the work that the ACLU does, and encourage members to join or renew.

How to Apply:

If you are interested in joining us for this unique opportunity, please send an email to clopez@aclu-sc.org with your information on the attachment provided. Spanish speakers are highly encouraged to apply.
