Description:
Friends of First Book are individuals or groups who help with special events in the commmunity. Events include Harvest Fest, Youth Jam, Earth Day, Barnes & Noble Book Fair, etc. Usually at a First Book Booth, volunteers help children with craft activities and inform the public about First Books mission-to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. Friends also help to spread the word by email and at meetings about fundraisers and events.
