Description:

Volunteers coordinate and manage League adoption events. After participating in several adoption events as an Event Assistant, the Event Coordinator will manage a regularly scheduled event from start to finish. This job includes working with the Community Outreach Director and Adoptions Managers in planning which animals will participate, transporting animals between the shelter and the adoption event, and overseeing both animals and volunteers. These events generally take place on weekends, reliable transportation is necessary, management skills are required, and complete training is provided.

You must first schedule an orientation session, followed by training and experience at Adoption Events. Exposure to the public increases the chance of adoption for WARL animals; coordinating an event is an integral part of community awareness. You can make a difference!
