Description:
Teaching English as a second language to children and some adults in schools in various parts of Peru. 5 weeks minimum period.
Conversational Spanish and a TEFL or similar qualification is desirable. Similar experience elsewhere will be taken into account.
There are positions open to anyone with experience in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), with preference being given to individuals trained in EFL methodology and instruction. Volunteers are required to commit for a minimum of 5 weeks (3 months in some locations). Volunteers typically work between 20-25 hours per week in the classroom for 5 days a week.
The cost is $1380 for the first 5 weeks and thereafter $300 per month. This includes all food and accomodation plus a 7 day trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Flights excluded.
