Veritas Prep Charter School

Veritas Preparatory Charter School prepares students in grades 5 - 8 to compete, achieve and succeed in high school, college and beyond. Veritas Prep is founded on the belief that all students, regardless of race, class, or socioeconomic circumstance, are entitled to a high quality education defined by high expectations. Founded by Building Excellent Schools Fellow, Rachel Romano, Veritas Prep uses a “no excuses” approach based on an intensive study of the highest performing urban schools. Veritas Prep provides rigorous college preparatory curriculum and character education within a structured learning environment. We utilize an extended school day and year and data-driven instruction to drive dramatic gains in student achievement. The school opened in August 2012 with grade five and grow one grade per year to eventually serve students in grades five through eight.
