Who We Are 

Hispanic Federation (HF) serves as a national model for Latino social, political, and economic empowerment. With a strong presence in New York, Florida, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, and other key states throughout the U.S., HF works to uplift millions of Hispanic children, youth, and families across the country. In addition, our Washington, DC, office gives HF a true national advocacy presence. HF works locally, state-wide, and nationally to strengthen Latino nonprofits, promote public policy advocacy, and bring to scale a portfolio of innovative community programs.

 

Position Description 

Hispanic Federation seeks a community liaison responsible for outreach efforts and community organizing. This role involves collaborating with the Community Outreach and Engagement Director to develop a comprehensive master plan for voter education, Hispanic Federation Florida programmatic initiatives, and mobilizations.

 

Position Location: Central Florida  

Position Details: Part-Time, until December 6  

Compensation: $20.00/hr. For 25 hr. a week   

 

Qualifications

  • Cultivate and sustain key relationships and partnerships with community leaders and community-based organizations in Hispanic Federation’s network.
  • Attends community meetings and events to educate about HF services.
  • Assist in organizing the community for advocacy strategies.
  • Assist in Developing strategic alliances and partnerships in higher education and environmental fields.
  • Creates weekly and trimester reports on outreach developed with the community and other projects.
  • Responsible for collaborating closely with teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to HF communications protocols and other guidelines.
  • Assist in developing a bilingual civic engagement curriculum, content, and materials geared toward increasing civic education and participation in the Latino community.
  • Attending meetings and training regarding voter registration work and best practices.  

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least one (1) year of work experience.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and duties simultaneously, and prioritize assignments (organizational and time-management skills).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GSuite, and other technical tools.
  • Ability to speak a second language is ideal.
  • Ideal applicants will be efficient, results-oriented, possess high energy, and demonstrate exceptional teamwork.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of office administration.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
