"The purposes for which the Corporation is to be formed are (1) to promote education and achievement in academically and economically disadvantaged young women and (2) to permit academically and economically disadvantaged young women to become productive, responsible members of society by (a) providing academic, personal and professional support and guidance through a mentoring program; (b) providing academic scholarships to young women from academically and economically disadvantaged communities, and (c) making grants to other organizations described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code that have similar objectives."
